National Fairs

 
1) Who is eligible to participate in Intel STDF?
All students studying in standards IX to XII in the academic year 2003-2004.

 

2) What are the subject categories for participation?
There are 9 subject categories: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Biochemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Earth & Space Science. You could choose any one of these as the subject of your project.

 

3) How do I enter the contest?
1. When the advertisement appears in the paper, fill up the registration coupon and send it to the address mentioned in the ad. We will immediately send you the registration kit.

2. Fill the forms in the registration kit and send it back to us. This will enroll you for the contest.

There are two ways to participate in the Intel STDF 2004. You could participate via the Direct Entry or through Affiliated Fairs.

 

4) How will it provide me an academic opportunity?
The fair will expose you to a vast treasure in Science Institutes, and also open avenues for you to acquire knowledge and meet personalities who influence society in their own way.

 

5) To what extent can we take the help of the Internet, as most of the data will be readily available
from various sites?
There is no limit to the extent you can take help from the Internet for your project. However it is a must to support your data with properly conducted experiments.

 

6) From where can we get sufficient amount of knowledge about our project topic?
You could refer to books, Internet, encyclopedias, or ask your teachers or family members.

 

7) Can we upgrade the experiments that are famous?
You can certainly upgrade existing famous ideas, but do remember that your idea should be innovative and different.
