IRIS – Initiative for Research & Innovation in Science
Intel has joined hands with the Department of
Science and Technology (DST) and Confederation
of Indian Industry (CII) to promote inventions
and innovations among students and youth in
India. The DST-CII-Intel partnership is the
merger of two programs with a common mission
of promoting the spirit of Science, the Intel
Science Talent Discovery Fair and CII-DST’s
“Steer the Big Idea” into one program, ‘IRIS –
Initiative for Research & Innovation in
Science’.. IRIS has participants from across
the country converging at the national level
Fair in December. Projects selected from the
national fair represent India at the
international science fairs like Intel
International Science and Engineering Fair
(Intel ISEF) and International Exhibition for
Young Innovators (IEYI) |

The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) is the world's largest pre-college celebration of science.
This year over 1 million secondary school children from 40 different countries will compete in local and Intel-affiliated fairs with the ambition of making it to Intel ISEF.
